Stone Steps

Stone stairs and walkways give a traditional look to any property, combined with the durability of stone for high-traffic areas and the Ontario climate. Unlike concrete, stone is not prone to cracking in Ontario’s freeze-thaw cycles in winter and summer heat waves. We source top-quality materials to ensure a timeless appearance and maximum durability — save yourself the stress of frequent concrete repairs.

Stone and Brick Retaining Walls

Add extra privacy and curb appeal to your space with a classic stone or brick wall. Whether you’re looking to keep foot traffic and garbage away from a busy front entry, demarcate a garden area in your yard, or create privacy around your property with classic style to match neighbourhood character. We can source materials to match your home or neighbourhood.

Dry Stone Walling

Our team is trained in the historic process of dry stone walling —— laying stone without mortar or binders to build walls. This ancient process, traditionally used in western, central and southern Europe, creates a timeless look for classic or natural gardens, pairing well with stone homes or wild and native plant landscaping. Dry stone walling is recognized by UNESCO under the intangible cultural heritage category.

The process of dry stone walling has a lower carbon footprint, as no mortar or cement is used, and helps with soil erosion, particularly in sloped yards. Walls can be further low-impact by using reclaimed stone to build the wall.
